Here for the first time, California Gurls by Katy Perry. Contemporary YA novels that are not necessarily about California Girls, but have a light-hearted feel to them too...

my only problem with that is that pretty much my first thought when it comes to sweet scarlett is NewYork! and then intelligent, arty and awesome, which california girl isn't quite. but i can see how they relate.
